Three Sisters Round 3
Sunshine at last! Warm weather greeted three sisters racers at the weekend, and it looked good from the outset. In practice, Phil was setting some quick times along with Paul Monks, James Campion, and surprise entrant Lloyd Ellison who hadn’t raced at Wigan for a while. On Sunday, the weather prevailed; and two heats were shared by Phil and Lloyd Ellison. Ellison managed to grab a pole position due to Phil’s less successful finish in the other heat, so Phil took up 2nd on the grid. Phil took Ellison quickly on the first lap to try and edge away for an easy race, and his move pulled off going down into the valley chicane, and Phil emerged onto the pit straight leading. From that lap the gap between Phil and the rest of the pack just got bigger and bigger until the end, Phil crossed the line 3.22 seconds ahead of the rest of the pack A successful weekend!
